Hey there!
Matthew Blum is a queer performer originally from Marietta, Georgia, currently based in NYC. His love for performing was inspired by his elementary school P.E. teacher who had the whole school juggling everything from beanbags to plungers. After taking ballet 1 as a freshman in college, Matthew discovered a love of dance and finagled a way to change his major to dance despite having taken his first dance class three months prior to this decision.
He has performed all over the western hemisphere in musical theater, as a back-up dancer for various pop artists and drag queens, and most recently as a featured dancer at the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Guatemala in Guatemala City. Matthew is also a certified personal trainer with NASM and group fitness instructor with AFAA. When he isn’t dancing and singing, he can be found telling people to do sit-ups and push-ups throughout NYC.
Matthew is currently on the road with Pretty Woman the Musical as Ensemble, u/s Happy Man!
